Didjazá

Custom Project Client: Ago Projects. Handmade in Mexico Year: 2024

Didjazá finds its inspiration in the resilience of the women of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. Of Zapotec origin, with an intense gaze and festive spirit, their authority and strength have transcended the imagination, marking a matriarchal history. The Isthmus women are the nucleus of the family, and their role in the economy is crucial.

These women move with freedom, presenting powerfully through their opulent and colorful clothing, filled with geometric patterns that make them recognizable.

The Sandunga, a symbol of their strength, ingenuity, and sophistication, fills the space. By interweaving an ornamental room divider, we pay tribute to and reflect on the resilience and cultural richness of the Isthmus women.
