About this course

As a textile design studio with a strong focus on sustainability and social processes, we invite you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of natural residual pigments. Our experience begins with a relaxed introductory talk on the use of natural dyes in Mexico, exploring their cultural significance and the role of design in a country as diverse as ours.

Learning a new skill can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we've designed this workshop with beginners in mind. We'll share insights from our research on extracting color from avocado pits—a more circular and accessible way to create beautiful shades of pink from food waste.
