Client: Publico coworking Cushion collection. Date: 20202
For the new Publico coworking in Moliere, at Polanco in Mexico City, the company commissioned us to design a collection of decorative cushions to create a welcoming workplace environment through a colorful, playful experience.
The collection is titled Linaje. It was born from research on how African cultures have recognized the body as a temple since antiquity. It is part of their tribal heritage and deserves to be adorned and contemplated by others. Many tribes, such as the Houeda, embellish their bodies with beautiful scars that narrate the story of their lives
In the Surma community in southern Ethiopia, individuals paint their bodies like a blank canvas to express the various moods they experience throughout the day. They use natural resources, such as mineral pigments, flowers, leaves, and shells, to adorn themselves.
Patterns and colorful Textiles celebrate life, human diversity, and multicultural life philosophy.
"Corporeal transformations indeed mark our 'humanity' because they represent the cultural order imposed on the natural order”.
Raffaela Cedraschi.
