ARENA

The beaches along the coast of Oaxaca served as the inspiration for this concept. When we look closely at the composition of sand, we see it as a union of millions of tiny, colorful fragments that come together to form something vast and beautiful.

We translated these subtle textures and colors into an exploration of weave structures using a punja loom, resulting in a delicate blend of twills and plain weave. We also experimented with a mix of yarns featuring different twists, materials, and densities to enrich the textile’s character and feel.

The outcome is a strong and durable rug that enhances any space. Ideal for high-traffic areas like offices, studios, or living rooms, its cotton backing ensures it retains its shape—even under heavy furniture.
