Woven memories
Woven Memories are three outdoor intervention commissions from Adidas Global held in Mexico City to celebrate the opening of their first flagship store in Latin America.
We worked closely with Adidas to analyze daily life in the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods in Mexico City, with the principle of discovering their sense, history, and emotional connection with their local residents.

We interpret these stories by designing a textile metaphor and recreating cross-stitch embroidery and Jacquard card patterns on outdoor textiles using laser cutting.
The fabrics, which were seen on large-scale metallic structures, inspired antique children's playgrounds that served as a canvas on which the city's visitors playfully manipulated the textiles.
Natural sunlight plays a relevant role in creating colorful, joyful shadows through textile
rapports and the movement of the structures, which the air and visitors manipulate, creating a daydream surprise.
We created a friendly assembly with its en Textilent, considering the green spaces and its integration with the context for the people. The challenge was to create pieces that would integrate into their context without being invasive.
Locations: Plaza Las Cibeles, Condesa, Plaza Luis Cabrera, Roma and Parque México, Condesa.
